Day 1: TURIN
Arrival in Turin, an elegant city that was the first capital of Italy and hosted the Winter Olympics in 2006. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a welcome drink. In the afternoon, meet with your guide for a walking tour through the elegant historical center of the city to discover its many fascinating monuments such as Piazza Castello, Palazzo Madama, Palazzo Reale, the Cathedral, elegant Piazza San Carlo and much more. After the walking tour, you will have free time to explore Turin at your leisure. Perhaps you may wish to try Turin's famous "Bicerin", a local drink made from coffee and chocolate. Dinner on your own followed by an overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.
Day 2: TURIN
After breakfast at your hotel, you will have the rest of the day available for the discovery of Turin's beautiful museums such as the National Museum of Cinema, located in the iconic Mole Antonelliana, and the Egyptian Museum, one of the most important museums of its kind in Europe. Lunch on your own in one of the many renowned historical cafes in town. In the afternoon you can enjoy shopping for some Italian goods and chocolate on Via Roma, one of the main arteries of the city center. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.
Day 3: TURIN, STUPINIGI PALACE, RIVOLI CASTLE, REGGIA DI VENARIA
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then we recommend spending the day exploring the outskirts of the city to see some of the most important royal residences of the Royal House of Savoy (the former Kings of Italy). Drive your rental car to the beautiful Palazzo di Caccia di Stupinigi, the former hunting lodge of the Savoy Royal Family, or the Rivoli Castle, which is now home to a museum of contemporary art. Not to be missed is the Reggia di Venaria Reale, one of the largest royal palaces in the world, and its stunning gardens. Return in the afternoon to your hotel accommodation in Turin and get ready for a farewell dinner at an elegant restaurant to enjoy a traditional meal. Overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.
