Arrive independently in Catania and make your way to the hotel. In the afternoon, meet your tour escort and fellow travelers for a warm welcome. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner together before retiring for the night. Overnight in Catania.
Day 2
CATANIA, SIRACUSA, ORTIGIA, RAGUSA

After breakfast, depart for Siracusa, a beautiful coastal city rich in history and culture. Visit its archaeological site to see the Greek Amphitheater, the famous Dionysus’ Ear, Minerva’s Temple, and the Roman Theater. Continue to Ortigia, the Baroque historic center, where you’ll admire the Cathedral and the Fountain of Aretusa. Enjoy free time for lunch on your own on Ortigia Island.
Then transfer to Ragusa, a city built in two parts: the “new” town rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake and the old town, Ragusa Ibla, one of Sicily’s most celebrated Baroque masterpieces. After breakfast, travel to Caltagirone, Sicily’s ceramics capital, for a visit to a ceramics laboratory and showroom. Continue to Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, home to the world’s largest collection of late-period Roman mosaics—an extraordinary window into ancient daily life and artistry. Enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant featuring regional specialties.
Then head to Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples, one of the Mediterranean’s most impressive archaeological areas, featuring temples dedicated to Juno, Hercules, Zeus, Concord, and Castor and Pollux. Dinner and overnight in Agrigento.
Day 4
AGRIGENTO, MONREALE, PALERMO

Continue to Erice, an enchanting medieval town perched on Mt. Enjoy free time for lunch in Erice, then continue on a panoramic route to Trapani to see the salt windmills still working along the coast. Return to Palermo for dinner and overnight.

PALERMO, CEFALU, CESARO/RANDAZZO, TAORMINA

After breakfast, head to Cefalù, a charming seaside town with an inviting historic center. Visit the Norman Cathedral with its beautiful mosaics and see the medieval wash-house carved into the rock. After breakfast, enjoy a free morning in Taormina—sip a Sicilian granita, write postcards, or take the cable car down to the beach. If you wish, join an optional excursion to Mount Etna (not included). Weather permitting, you’ll reach around 1,800 meters on Europe’s highest active volcano for sweeping views over the Ionian Sea. In the afternoon, explore Taormina, a beautiful medieval town set between Etna and the sea. Enjoy free time to shop along Corso Umberto for handmade lace, ceramics, coral jewelry, and local treats, and if you like, visit the famous Roman-Greek Theater on your own (not included).
