After breakfast, depart for Siracusa, a beautiful coastal city rich in history and culture. Visit its archaeological site to see the Greek Amphitheater, the famous Dionysus’ Ear, Minerva’s Temple, and the Roman Theater. Continue to Ortigia, the Baroque historic center, where you’ll admire the Cathedral and the Fountain of Aretusa. Enjoy free time for lunch on your own on Ortigia Island.
Then transfer to Ragusa, a city built in two parts: the “new” town rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake and the old town, Ragusa Ibla, one of Sicily’s most celebrated Baroque masterpieces. Enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant featuring regional specialties.
