Day 1

Arrival in Rome and transfer to your hotel on your own. Use your time at leisure to get acquainted with this enchanting city until the evening, when you will meet with your tour assistant who will provide you information regarding your travel itinerary. Overnight at your hotel in Rome.
Day 2
ROME
Morning Your Way, Appian Way After
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, enjoy your time at leisure to Explore Rome at your own pace. Discover the beautiful fountains and squares of Rome, enjoy a cappuccino and Italian pastries in one of the many outdoor cafés, or participate at the Pope’s Mass in Saint Peter Square (on Sundays). In the afternoon, you will join a sightseeing tour along the Appian Way, viewing ancient ruins and churches such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the St. John Lateran Basilica, the Scala Santa (Holy stairs) and the Christian Catacombs. Dinner at a typical trattoria, far from the tourist traps and among the locals. Overnight at your Hotel in Rome.
Day 3
ROME
Free Morning, Vatican Masterpieces
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a morning at leisure. Perhaps visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum (not included), or the Villa Borghese Gallery (not included), with numerous important pieces of art. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vatican museum, repository for centuries of splendid art and history. You’ll marvel at this intersection of faith and beauty, including a visit of the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Return to your Hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Day 4
ROME, POMPEI, VESUVIUS, SORRENTO
Frozen Time, Summit Views, Sorrento Night
Breakfast at the hotel before heading to Pompeii via private coach. Upon arrival, you will meet your tour guide and be escorted through the excavation site where Vesuvius covered the town in hot volcanic ash. These layers of ash preserved underneath homes and people going about their business for many centuries until excavated in the 1800’s, leaving behind a city frozen in time. Enjoy time at leisure for lunch in these historic surroundings before the tour moves to Vesuvius National Park. The bus will take you 1000 meters up the face of the volcano from where you’ll have the chance to hike another 200 meters to the top of this still active volcano. The 30 minute hike pays off with spectacular views of the Bay of Naples. Afterwards, the tour continues to Sorrento and check into your hotel for the night.
Day 5
SORRENTO COUNTRYSIDE
Pasta Factory to Volcano Farm
Breakfast at your hotel to prepare for a full day of an authentic Italian Food Experience. First you will visit a famous local pasta making factory, where you will learn traditional recipes of fresh homemade pastas and sauces. After you will enjoy lunch at a charming farmhouse on Mount Vesuvius, where you will tour orchards and vineyards, rich and lush from the volcanic soil. Later you will savor a glass of wine on the patio of this typical farmhouse before returning to the hotel in Sorrento for the night.
Day 6
SORRENTO, POSITANO, AMALFI, SORRENTO
Cliffside Views, Lemons and Legends
Breakfast at the hotel before departing to the breathtaking Amalfi Coast drive for the picturesque town of Positano. Trickling down the cliff like a waterfall, be ready with your camera because this small town will offer spectacular views from every corner of its steep alleys. The tour continues on to Amalfi, one of the former historical Maritime republic, and home to a magnificent Cathedral and colorful everyday life experiences. Taste some homemade Lemoncello and shop for local products. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Sorrento, to enjoy dinner and a rest at your hotel.
Day 7
SORRENTO, CAPRI
Emperor Island: Anacapri Calm to Piazzetta Buzz
After a savory breakfast at your hotel, you will board the ferry to the breathtaking isle of Capri. This small island in front of the Bay of Naples, is so spectacular that since ancient times, Roman Emperors began bulding their summer residences here. The tour will begin in Anacapri, a small and picturesque village home to the famed Villa San Michele, built on the ruins of the Roman Emperor Tiberious’ summer residence. Later you will head to Capri where you will enjoy luch at your own leisure. After lunch, you will tour the town’s center and the most beutiful sites, including the Augusto Gardens, Via Tragara and the famous Piazzetta. Later return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
