After breakfast, enjoy a free morning to continue exploring Rome—perhaps Ancient Rome at the Colosseum and Roman Forum or the art-filled Villa Borghese Gallery (both not included). In the afternoon, visit the Vatican Museums, repository for centuries of art and history. Marvel at the Sistine Chapel and continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, a powerful intersection of faith, beauty, and masterpiece architecture. Return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Rome.
Day 4
ROME, POMPIE, VESUVIUS, SORRENTO
Ash, Fire and Bay Views
After breakfast, depart by private coach to Pompeii. Upon arrival, meet your guide and walk through the excavation site where Mount Vesuvius covered the town in volcanic ash—preserving homes, streets, and everyday life until excavations began in the 1800s, leaving a city frozen in time. Enjoy free time for lunch (not included) before continuing to Vesuvius National Park. The bus climbs to about 1,000 meters, and you’ll have the chance to hike the final stretch (about 200 meters, roughly 30 minutes) to the top of this still-active volcano. The views over the Bay of Naples are unforgettable. Continue to Sorrento, check in, and overnight.

SORRENTO COUNTRYSIDE
Pasta and Farmhouse Wines
