Day 01: OUT-BOUND FLIGHT
Board your overnight flight to Venice.
Day 02: VENICE
Arrive in Venice, Italy. On your arrival at Venice Airport you will be transferred by water taxi to your hotel. Check into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and get acquainted with the city.
Day 03: VENICE
After a good and healthy Italian Breakfast, the day begins with a Half Day guided walking tour of Venice. Strolling through the narrow typical streets, the tour takes you into the historical center of the city and its magnificent monuments: St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, Ducal Palace, Prisons, Bridge of Sighs. Rest of the day at leisure to shop and enjoy a meal of fresh seafood.
Day 04: VENICE
Breakfast at the hotel and after you may take an excursion to Murano Island to visit a Glass workshop learning how the Local Artisans create a piece of Glass art, or go to Burano Island renowned for lace making; you can also discover on your own the secrets of Venice, visit the Fine Art Academy, the Guggenheim Museum, the old markets or enjoy a walk across the Rialto Bridge.
Day 05: VARENNA, LAKE COMO
After your last Venetian Breakfast, pick up you rental car and travel to Lake Como's town of Varenna. En-route you may stop on in Padua to visit the Basilica of Saint Anthony, or in Verona to see the balcony of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, or visit the ancient city of Bergamo and its walled hilltop medieval center. Once at the lake shores, you will check in at your hotel and relax with the breathtaking beauty of the Alps scenery reflected on the quiet waters of the lake. Have dinner at a typical local restaurant.
Days 06 -07: VARENNA, LAKE COMO
Relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Alps and Lake Como. While in Varenna, you may take a ride on the steam boat across the lake to admire the spectacular sight of the mountains and the beautiful villas with their elegant gardens or take a ferry to the famous and authentic town of Bellagio.
Days 08-10: CERNOBBIO, LAKE COMO
Drive to the town of Cernobbio and check into your hotel for a discovery of the other side of the lake. You may come accross with George Clooney or his celebrity guests at his villa! From here you can easily drive to the refined city of Como to explore its wonderful monuments and museums or simply sit down to enjoy the beautiful sights and shop for silks in its unique boutiques, you can also drive to the nearby border with Switzerland for a visit of lake Lugano and its vicinity.
Day 11: RETURN FLIGHT
Return your car at the Milan Malpensa airport for your flight back to America.
