Day 1
MILAN, GENOA
Dockside History and Old-Lane Magic
Meet your group early morning at the designated point in Milan’s historic center (or start directly in Genoa—meeting point to be advised). Transfer to Genoa, the lively ancient seaport that once stood among Italy’s great Maritime Republics. Explore the historic center that grew around the docks, a maze of medieval buildings and atmospheric narrow lanes. Continue to the Ancient Port area, restored for the anniversary of Columbus’ sail to the Americas. If you wish, you’ll have time to visit the Genoa Aquarium on your own (optional, not included), the second largest in Europe, before heading to your hotel for overnight in Genoa.
Day 2
GENOA, SAN REMO
Flowers, Sun, and Riviera Strolls
After breakfast, head to San Remo—famous for flowers, sunshine, and its celebrated Italian Song Festival. Enjoy time at leisure to stroll along the beaches and promenades, browse boutiques along the main street, or visit the town’s Casino. Lunch is on your own (not included). Return to Genoa via the scenic Riviera di Ponente, passing small coastal villages and enjoying plenty of photo-worthy views. Overnight in Genoa.
Day 3
GENOA, PORTOVENERE, CINQUE TERRE, GENOA
Colors Between Sky and Sea
After breakfast, depart for Portovenere, a small fishing town known for beautiful churches and sweeping sea views. After visiting Portovenere, take the ferry to Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (if sea and weather conditions do not permit, the visit will be done via a panoramic minibus route). The five fishermen’s villages are famous for their colorful buildings perched in a dramatic landscape suspended between sky and sea. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch on your own (not included), then return to Genoa for overnight.
Day 4
GENOA, CAMOGLI, PORTOFINO, SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE, MILAN
Glamour, Camogli Focaccia, Riviera Goodbye
After breakfast, depart Genoa and head to Camogli, a beautiful seaside town with evocative architecture—and irresistible focaccia from local bakeries. Continue to Portofino, the iconic village tucked into a narrow cove along the rocky coastline. Bring your camera (and maybe an autograph book), as Portofino is a favorite of celebrities and artists. Then visit Santa Margherita Ligure, a picturesque Riviera town, with free time for lunch (not included). Later, return to Milan, where the tour and services end.
