During your time in Rome you will have the opportunity to admire the Eternal City's most famous sights including the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and much more. Enjoy time at leisure to discover this city's many secrets, sample some amazing food and go shopping at the local markets and boutiques. The second part of the trip is dedicated to the Amalfi Coast where you will enjoy sunny days exploring coastal towns such as Positano, Amalfi and Ravello as well as time on the beach. With plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and relaxation, this 11 day customized tour is the best way to experience Italy's stunning capital and the beauty of Italy's most famous stretch of coast.
Day 01: OUT-BOUND FLIGHT
Board your overnight flight to Italy.
Day 02: ROME
Arrive in Rome, Italy and then transfer to your hotel in the historical city center. After checking in, you will have time at leisure to start exploring Rome's historical city center.
Day 03: ROME
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then start the day with a guided tour of Rome's city center. During the tour you will have the chance to see several famous sights including the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Navona Square, once of the most beautiful squares in Rome. Continue on to the Vatican area where you will visit St. Peter's Basilica with your guide, admiring Michelangelo's masterpiece "Pietà" and countless other priceless works of art held in this impressive church. The rest of the day will be yours to continue sightseeing, go shopping or simply relax.
Days 04 - 05: ROME
The two days will be at your leisure to to explore Rome and all of its beauty. Depending on your interests, there are many different options available, and a few recommendations include visiting the Colosseum (walking tour with skip the line entrance strongly recommended and can be arranged upon request), stopping by the Spanish Steps or heading to the top of the Vittoriano Monument for a unique 360 degree panorama of Rome. If you like fashion, consider spending some time on Via Condotti, one of Rome's best shopping areas or stop by one of several local outdoor markets. For art enthusiasts, discover the immense treasures of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel (walking tour with skip the line entrance strongly recommended and can be arranged upon request) or visit one of Rome's many other art museums such as the Borghese Gallery (advanced reservations required and can be arranged upon request). There is plenty to keep you occupied during your time in the Eternal City.
Day 06 - 09: AMALFI COAST
This morning you will take the high speed train and head south to Italy's spectacular Amalfi Coast. You will spend four nights in the beautiful town of Sorrento enjoying breathtaking panoramas of the coast. Your time here will be at leisure to visit the Amalfi Coast's many highlights including the towns of Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. You may also wish to visit the island of Capri, the archaeological site of Pompeii or spend a day in Naples to take in the city's extensive historic and rich cultural landmarks. There is plenty to see for those wishing to continue sightseeing or if you prefer you could also spend a day or two relaxing at the beach, the choice is yours!
Day 10: ROME
Board the train and head back to Rome where you will spend the night at a local hotel.
Day 11: RETURN FLIGHT
In the morning, transfer back to Rome's airport and board your flight home. This marks the end of our services.
