Welcome to Rome! Upon landing at Fiumicino Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel with your belongings. After check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace—take a gentle first stroll, sip an espresso in a nearby piazza, or simply unwind after your journey. Overnight in Rome, perfectly positioned to begin discovering the Eternal City.

Piazzas, Fountains & Baroque Rome
After breakfast, set out on a lively guided walk through Rome’s historic center, where every corner reveals layers of history. Begin at Largo Argentina home to ancient Republican temples and the remains of Pompey’s Theatre then continue to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the elegant curves of Piazza Navona. Along the way, take in beloved Roman gathering spots like Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Farnese, and end near the Spanish Steps. The afternoon is free to follow your interests, perhaps Ancient Rome at the Colosseum and Forum, or the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel (optional, not included). Overnight in Rome.

Start early and head south with your guide and coach toward Naples, where you’ll enjoy a walking tour of the city’s grand landmarks—Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace area, the famed San Carlo Opera House, and the stunning Galleria Umberto I. Continue to Pompeii, with a stop at a coral and cameo workshop to discover one of the region’s most celebrated artisan traditions, followed by lunch in a typical restaurant. Then step into history at the Pompeii excavations, where streets, homes, and public spaces preserve daily life from nearly 2,000 years ago—frozen in time by Mount Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 AD.
