Arrive on your own in Lerici, a charming seaside town on the Gulf of Lerici, a stretch of coast so beloved by Romantic poets like Shelley and Lord Byron that it became known as the “Gulf of the Poets.” Ideally located near the Cinque Terre National Park and Portovenere, Lerici is a perfect base for exploring the area. After checking in at your hotel, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
CINQUE TERRE
Villages, Cliffs, Palmaria and Lunch Onboard
After breakfast, meet your guide and set off for a full day of trekking in the Cinque Terre National Park. Travel along the coast by boat before starting your walk on the historic paths that once served as the only connection between the five villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of high cliffs over the deep blue sea, terraced vineyards, ancient olive trees, and colorful, car‑free villages where daily life still follows local traditions. When accessible, you’ll also walk along the romantic Via dell’Amore, the famous “Love Path.” At the end of this active and rewarding day, return to your hotel in Monterosso for a well‑earned rest.

MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Cinque Terre. You may choose to relax on the beaches of Monterosso, use your Cinque Terre Card to hop between the villages by local train, or venture further afield on an optional day trip to glamorous Portofino or to Portovenere and the evocative Gulf of Poets (optional activities not included). The day is entirely yours to shape.
