Day 2
GUBBIO, SPELLO

After breakfast, you will dedicate our time to discovering this region and its beauty. Morning guided visit of Gubbio, one of the undiscovered jewels of Umbria. At the end of the visit time on your own for lunch. In the afternoon we suggest to drive to the lovely Spello, the “pink town” thanks to the color of the stones used to build the many beautiful houses and palaces in town. Return to your Hotel accommodation. Dinner on your own and overnight stay.

BEVAGNA, PERUGIA, CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE

After breakfast at the Hotel, we would suggest a visit of Bevagna. Here you will discover the “Gaite”, the small quarters of the village, where every year during the last week of June, you can live the amazing experience of the trip back in the past: the Mercato delle Gaite (the Market of the Gaite) is a reproduction of a Medieval Market of craft workshops still alive in Bevagna: the art of iron, silk, perfume, loom, paper, candles, everything produced according the ancient way and tradition. After spending the morning visiting some of these workshops, enjoy a light lunch or local products tasting in Bevagna before to transfer to Perugia, capital of Umbria region. In Perugia you will meet a English speaking guide to visit this elegant town with its medieval palaces and squares. The tour will end with a chocolate experience in a traditional small chocolate factory to show you one of the most ancient arts in Perugia: the art of chocolate making. After the visit and tasting, return independently to your hotel accommodation. Dinner on your own and overnight stay.
