Meet your group in Milan’s historic center and depart by motor coach for Lake Maggiore, framed by mountains and lush vegetation. Stop in Stresa, a delightful resort town, and take a boat tour to Isola dei Pescatori, a traditional fishermen’s island, and Isola Bella, home to the Borromeo Palace and its magnificent terraced gardens. Enjoy free time for lunch in Stresa before continuing with a panoramic drive along the lake. Cross into Switzerland to reach Lugano, where you can browse elegant boutiques, sample Swiss chocolate, or visit the casino. The day ends on the shores of Lake Como, with an overnight stay in the town of Como.
After breakfast, enjoy a brief visit of Como, a charming town where the snow‑capped Alps meet the lake, known for its silk factories and elegant lakeside villas. Then board a boat to Bellagio, often called the “Pearl of Lake Como,” where you’ll have free time to wander the narrow streets, browse shops, and enjoy lunch on your own. Continue by boat to Varenna for a panoramic tour of this romantic lakeside village. In the afternoon, travel to Bergamo, a lovely town divided between the modern lower town (Città Bassa) and the historic upper town (Città Alta), a true artistic jewel. After a short walking tour of the historic center, continue to Brescia for the night.
After breakfast, head to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites in the north and gentle hills in the south. Thanks to its mild Mediterranean climate, the area is rich in lemon trees, oleanders, bougainvillea, olive groves, and vineyards. From Sirmione, board a boat for a scenic tour offering spectacular views of the Sirmione peninsula, its medieval Scaliger Castle, and the Roman ruins known as the Grottoes of Catullus. Enjoy lunch on your own while admiring the lake. In the afternoon, continue to Riva del Garda to explore its Venetian‑inspired historic center, then travel on to Verona for the night.
After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Verona, a city where Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influences blend harmoniously. Stroll through narrow streets lined with historic buildings and monuments, and don’t miss a photo at the famous balcony associated with Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. After lunch on your own, return by coach to Milan, where your lakes and northern Italy tour—and our services—will come to an end.
