Detailed itinerary:
Upon arrival at the port, meet with your guide to start your Bologna and Ducati Museum shore excursion. Travel to the city center of Bologna and begin your walking tour in the main square, Piazza Maggiore. Here you will have the chance to admire the architecture of the surrounding monuments including the public palaces Palazzo del Podesta and Palazzo d'Accursio. Next, stop by the Basilica of San Petronio to see the unique facade (which was never completed), beautiful frescoes and the artwork in the numerous chapels. Afterwards you will visit the Palace of Archiginasio, which is part of the campus of the University of Bologna, the oldest university in the world. Finally, stop by the local market for leisure and shopping time, as well a break for lunch before continuing the tour and visiting the Ducati Museum. Here you will have the chance to view exhibits that outline the history of the Ducati Company as well as visit the Ducati Factory. At the end of the tour, you will make the return trip to the harbor to board your ship once more.
