From Rapallo to Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre National Park

TRAVEL ITINERARY:
DAY 1: RAPALLO, TIGULLIO GULF
Arrival on your own in Rapallo, an elegant town on the Tigullio Gulf. Thanks to its rich past and a charming historical city center, Rapallo is a well-known resort on the Italian Riviera along with nearby Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
DAY 2: PORTOFINO, SAN FRUTTUOSO ABBEY AND TIGULLIO GULF
After a hearty breakfast, meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby to begin your sightseeing tour of the scenic Tigullio Gulf area. We’ll take a boat trip to Portofino, a luxury resort town popular among the rich and famous, known for its charming atmosphere. You will then stop at the Benedictine Abbey in San Fruttuoso, a Gothic complex perched on the coastline. The fishing village of Camogli will be your next stop before taking the train back to Rapallo for the night.
DAY 3: SESTRI LEVANTE, TIGULLIO GULF
After a good night’s rest and breakfast at your hotel, you’ll meet your tour guide at the train station for a half day guided excursion to Sestri Levante, home of the Bay of Fairy Tales, named in honor of Hans Christian Anderson, who lived there for a period of time. You’ll enjoy the scenery of this lovely resort town, before spending an afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying some sunbathing on the lively beach or shopping in the local boutiques.
DAY 4: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
The morning will be at your leisure for some last minute sightseeing or shopping. Afterwards, meet with your driver and travel to Monterosso al Mare, part of the Cinque Terre area. Complete check-in at your new hotel and then you will have the afternoon free to start exploring on your own or relax.
DAY 5: CINQUE TERRE NATIONAL PARK, PORTOVENERE
Today is dedicated to discovering the beauty of the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the town of Portovenere. Start in Vernazza, a charming fishing village, and then continue to Manarola, taking in beautiful scenic views along the way. Follow the local hiking trails to reach Riomaggiore and then we will take a boat to Portovenere. Portovenere is renowned for its churches, such as the Church of San Lorenzo, and its stunning harbor area. The natural beauty of Portovenere has attracted romantics for centuries including the great poets Byron and Shelley. Once you finish in Portovenere board the boat and return to Monterosso.
DAY 6: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
Meet with your tour guide in the morning and depart by train to the town of Corniglia, the last of the Cinque Terre villages. Take in breathtaking panoramic views and explore the the winding streets. You will return to Monterosso later in the afternoon and then the rest of the day will be at your leisure.
DAY 7: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and end of our services.
