TRAVEL ITINERARY:
DAY1: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
Arrival on your own in Monterosso al Mare, one of the five villages of the Cinque Terre National Park, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
DAY 2: GUIDED SIGHTSEEING TOUR, CINQUE TERRE NATIONAL PARK
After meeting your tour guide in the hotel lobby, you’ll depart for a full day guided sightseeing tour of the Cinque Terre National Park. We’ll take the train to Vernazza, a pedestrian only fishing village, and then on to Manarola, considered to be the oldest of the Cinque Terre towns. We’ll take a hiking trail with amazing panoramas to reach Riomaggiore, a quaint village where will enjoy a wine tasting. Later, we will reach our next destination, Portovenere, by boat. With its many churches, including the Church of St. Lawrence, built on top of the remains of a temple dedicated to Jupiter, the picturesque harbor and the rocky fortress, the lovely town of Portovenere was once a haven for the Romantic poets Byron and Shelley. At the end of this unforgettable day, we’ll take the boat back to Monterosso.
DAY 3: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a whole day free to do as you please. You could relax and sunbathe on the small beaches, or revisit the villages of the Cinque Terre by local train using your Cinque Terre Card (included) or perhaps take a day trip to Portofino, a famous resort town (optional activities not included). The day is all yours!
DAY 4: MONTEROSSO AL MARE, CINQUE TERRE
After breakfast, our services will end.
