Day 1: VENICE

Arrival at your own to your Hotel Accommodation in Venice.

Day 2: VENICE, WINE AND CICCHETTI TASTING

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide for a two-hour walking tour to explore the famous highlights of this city, seemingly suspended in a timeless dream. Enjoy stops at some of Venice's major landmarks, including St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Afterwards, lunch will be on your own. In the afternoon, join a professional wine taster for a tasting of typical Venetian wines. The taster will provide information about the history of each wine, their organic characteristics, and their versatility in pairing with local foods. You can enjoy the tasting either before dinner or as a light meal, accompanied by a selection of various Veneto cheeses and traditional Venetian appetizers called "cicchetti." All tastings will take place in a typical "osteria" selected for its quality wines and food (food not included). The rest of the evening is free. Dinner will be on your own, followed by an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: VENICE, COOKING CLASS

After breakfast at your hotel, immerse yourself in the culinary traditions of Venice. In a historic palazzo near the famous Rialto Market, meet an expert chef who will introduce you to the essentials of traditional Italian and Venetian cuisine. Discover the delicate freshness of seasonal vegetables and savor classic dishes like "sarde in saor" (fried sardines marinated in onions) and "baccalà mantecato" (salted cod cooked in cream). Indulge in regional cookies like Zaeti, made with cornmeal and raisins. The chef will captivate you with intriguing aromas, the exotic origins of some ingredients, and insights into the cooking processes and products used.
