The hill-top medieval town of Montalcino is considered the sanctuary of the Brunello wine, produced from the distinctive Sangiovese grape is considered to be amongst the best in the world. You will enjoy some time at leisure to visit the historical center of Montalcino with its centuries-old fortress and visit two famous wineries, where you will learn the strict process required to produce Brunello wine followed by a tasting of some of the finest wines accompanied by local cheeses, bread and cold cuts.
