Detailed itinerary:

You’ll take a motor launch from your ship to the Piazzale Roma to meet your guide. Your walking tour of Venice begins with a look into the interior of the Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari (Frari Church), built by the Franciscan monks. Constructed in the 14th century, this stunning church offers ancient architecture and stunning glory.
Afterwards, you’ll visit one of the city’s oldest squares, Campo San Polo, which dates back to the 9th century. Until very recently, this was where the city held bull races, parades, markets and fairs throughout the year. Today, Campo San Polo is the home of Venice’s outdoor summer cinema and Carnivale.
The next stop on this tour is the Riva del Vin, where you can walk right up to the Grand Canal. Wine barrels were once offloaded here, moving from transport ships to the city’s warehouses. The current bridge here dates back to the 16th century, but there has been one present since 1180.
Your walking tour will continue with a stroll past the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, which was the city’s main post office from the middle of the 1800s, but has now been converted into a mall. You’ll also pass the Campo San Giovanni e Paolo, a massive square constructed in typical Venetian style. This was the site for all funeral services for Venetian Doges, after the 15th century. Currently, you will find 25 of the city’s doges entombed within the church on the square. Here, you’ll get to take a break and enjoy some leisure time before starting the trip back to your motor launch, and then to your ship (or you can choose to stay in town rather than embarking once more).
The walk takes 40 minutes in each direction, with plenty of time given for sightseeing and enjoyment.
