Detailed itinerary:

You’ll arrive at the Savona Pier and then board a deluxe coach for the trip to Genoa. The Genoa and the Largest Aquarium in Europe Tour is an ideal option for those who want to enjoy culture, architecture and natural history. After arriving in Genoa, you’ll visit the Genoa Aquarium, the largest of its kind in all of Europe. Designed by Genoese architect Renzo Piano and Peter Chermayeff, it pays homage to Genoa’s centuries-long relationship with the sea.
The aquarium itself looks like a series of cargo containers aboard ship, but inside it’s filled with natural wonders and beauty. Within, you’ll find sharks, dolphins, seals, penguins, crocodiles and numerous other animals. The aquarium was originally constructed in 1998 and has been added onto over time, including the addition of the 100-meter long ship moored to the end. Guests will enjoy the sound of different natural aquatic environments, while wandering between water walls which give views into geographic areas as diverse as the Antarctic and the Amazon.
After touring the aquarium, you’ll head out into the city of Genoa itself. Here, you’ll visit the historic center of town, including the Palazzo S. Giorgio, where the St. George Bank is headquartered.
In addition, your tour will also include a walking tour through the city’s winding streets and alleys to reach the Cathedral of Saint Lorenzo, which features rich Gothic architecture in the Genoese style. Finally, you’ll head to the Piazza de Ferrari and the Ducal Palace before heading back to the EXPO area where you’ll board your ship once more.
The aquarium is wheelchair accessible; however, portions of the tour do include rough, uneven surfaces which might not be suitable for wheelchair travel.
