Day 01: OUT-BOUND FLIGHT
Board your overnight flight to Florence.
Day 02: FLORENCE
Arrive in Florence, Italy On your arrival at Florence Airport you are transferred to your hotel. Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this captivating town.
Day 03: FLORENCE
After breakfast you will join your Half Day City Tour which takes you to Piazzale Michelangelo admiring the wonderful panorama of the city, one of the most fascinating in the world. Then proceed by coach through the old city centre on an outdoor guided tour of the Duomo complex, Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistery and its impressive bronze doors, including the famous Porta del Paradiso and visit the interior of the Cathedral and the magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi. A short walk through the historic streets of the heart of Florence brings you to the renowned Galleria dell’Accademia we you will admire the famous David by Michelangelo and other works by the great artist. The tour ends inside the museum.
Days 04 - 05: FLORENCE
Visit one of the most important art museums in the world: the Uffizi Gallery and explore important Italian masterpieces more than four centuries old from artists such as Botticelli and Raphael. After, take advantage of your last day in Florence to shop for quality leather and gold, stroll along Ponte Vecchio, famous all around the world for its jewelry shops.
Days 06 - 09: SIENA AND THE TUSCAN HILL COUNTRY
Travel on rental car through the Tuscan countryside with its ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees. Arrive in the medieval city of Siena, famous for the Palio horse race and admire its marvelous Cathedral, the unique, fan shaped Piazza del Campo and the majestic Palazzo Comunale. From Siena enjoy day trips to the multi-towered hilltop town of San Gimignano, medieval Montepulciano and Volterra, or the enchanting Saint Antimo Abbey. Taste the excellent wines of the Chianti area and stop in a vineyard in Montalcino, where the international award winning Brunello wine is produced. Of course, accompaning your wine with some of the most typical Tuscan specialties is a must, enjoying delicious recipes of genuine and simple ingredients transmitted through the centuries.
