Check in is then done covering the details of what the hotel has to offer and where your room can be found. The remainder of the day is for your leisure to do with as you wish. Relaxation or exploration can be done on your own as you make yourself acquainted with the “Eternal City”.

An early start of 9:00 A.M. kicks off your first day in Rome. After a tasty buffet breakfast is tucked away in your belly, a stroll amongst the historical centre is taken. A three hour guided walking tour will show you the breathtaking and highly noted attractions that are the most popular to view. It will start with a tour of Largo Argentina. This area is the host of four Republican Roman temples, and also the remains of Pompey’s Theatre. The tour also includes the Trevi fountain, which is Italy’s largest and most famous Baroque fountain standing almost eighty five feet high and sixty five feet across. The tour also includes locations such as the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Piazza Navona is one of the most highly visited locations, built in the first century AD, and is known for where the ancient Romans came to watch their historic agones “games”. Other attractions will include Piazza Farnese, Campo de’ Fiori, and the stunning Spanish Steps. The tour will then end and you will be free to do what you wish.
Perhaps you may wish to visit the Ancient Rome with the Colosseum and Roman Forum or the Vatican Museums including the worldwide famous Sistine Chapel. Dinner is not included on this day.
Overnight stay at your Hotel in Rome city center.

Once again a Buffet style buffet greets you for the start of your day. Once breakfast is complete, a multilingual tour guide and coach will be awaiting your departure no later than 7:00 A.M. The next destination is Naples. Upon arrival, the tour guide will assist you in a walking tour of the city and its attractions. The Royal Palace, once used by the Bourbon Kings during their rule, is one of the most popular tourist areas. The palace façade offers a glimpse of breathtaking views and unique architecture for the time period. The tour continues with visits to the Piazza del Plebiscito, the San Carlo Opera House, and the Gallery of Umberto I with its stunning architecture. The next stop of the journey takes you to the town of Pompeii. Before enjoying lunch in a typical restaurant, a trip to a coral and cameo factory is taken, showing the beautiful artistry known to this area for thousands of years. The next attraction is visiting the excavation sites of this ancient Roman city, highlighting the history of the city and how it was destroyed by the famous eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The transfer to Amalfi will be along the beautiful coastline, with breathtaking views including the picturesque village of Positano. The end of this day includes dinner and relaxation at the hotel in Amalfi.

The day will begin with a buffet breakfast buffet at the hotel. You will have free time to explore as you wish. Whether you choose to walk around and enjoy this one of a kind area, or take the hotel shuttle to a private beach for a swim, the views and the people will certainly be remembered for years to come. You also have the option to arrange an excursion to the neighboring towns of Ravello and Positano (Optional Activities, non included). The day will come to a close with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Amalfi.
