In Aosta you can enjoy all the typical food from the region. These include delicious alpine cheeses, salted meats, liquors with herbs, honey, home-made all-bran bread and cakes, and of course, the traditional polenta and fondue.
A traditional Aostan dish is the zuppa valpellinentze, a soup with all-bran bread, cabbages, fontina cheese and cooked with other ingredients of the chefs' fancy.
