ITINERARY

Siena cannot but be remembered as the city of the Palio horse race and by providing the opportunity to live out this experience during the days when this unique event takes place gives visitors a great emotion. Blend the peace and harmony of the Chianti hills with the vivacity and excitement in the city while waiting for the horse race to start and you will take back with you a unique event that you have never experienced in your life.

Day 1
Arrival of clients at their hotel. Check in and free time for exploring the city of the Palio: the Cathedral, Piazza del Campo, the Basilica of San Domenico, the house of Saint Catherine. Lunch on your own perhaps in one of the trattoria that we would be pleased to recommend to you. Welcome dinner can be arranged in a Medieval restaurant if required. Overnight stay.

Day 2
We would suggest a trip to the Chianti region to discover this unique and extremely beautiful scenery set amid gently rolling hills, rows and rows of vines, parish churches and farmhouses and where you can visit one of the numerous wine producing estates of the area and taste some famous Chianti wine. Rest of the day free. The evening will be crowned by the so-called "eve" (vigilia) dinner held in one of the 10 contradas (districts) that will be taking part in the following day's events. The guests will take part in an unforgettable experience, together with the people of the city, the true "contradaioli" who amid chants and toasts forelive the hope of victory. Overnight stay.

Day 3
During this day time stands still in Siena. In the morning most of the city commercial activities are closed, people stay at home waiting for the race to start, every angle of the city is animated by the colours of the flags and by the sounds of the drums. Entrance into Piazza del Campo has to be by early afternoon to take up your position in the allotted seating. The rest of the day will be a unique exprience and impossible to forget.

Day 4
End of holiday package.
