Detailed itinerary:

Passing by Piazza Barberini where we will admire the Bernini's Triton Fountain, we start our tour with a visit to St. Mary Major Church, a basilica dedicated to Mary, Mother of Christ, with beautiful mosaics and the relics of the Nativity cradle. We’ll move on to St. John’s in Lateran’s cathedral, which was the first papal residence and home to many medieval masterpieces, and to the Holy Stairs, removed from Pilate’s residence in AD 326 and believed to have been used by Jesus before His crucifixition. The tour continues through the first part of the Ancient Appian Way, with a view of the Domine Quo Vadis Chapel, to the Catacombs. These ancient burial sites were used by Christians and are covered with unique art works. We will visit the Domitilla or the St.Callixtus ones.on the way back  we’ll take a panoramic view of the Caracalla Thermal Baths. Return to your hotel or the nearby drop off point.
