Piedmont Italy - WineItaly has been documented as the world’s largest wine producer. Piemonte is no acceptation to this fact and contributes its fair share of spectacular wine production. Piemonte is particularly known for its Barolo, a garnet colored wine cultivated from Nebbiolo grapes.

There are eleven villages responsible for the production of this tasty wine which offer tourist the opportunity for guided walks through the vineyards and enticing wine tastings. Also well know is the sweet, bubbly Asti Spumanti, it is produced in Asti and is sometimes referred to as the “champagne of Italy”.
